Godfrey Johnson sings and plays them with the sensitivity and passion they deserve. If you don't know the music of Jacques Brel, this is a wonderful way to get acquainted. If you are familiar with Brel's songs, but have never heard Godfrey Johnson, then you are in for a treat as Johnson brings his special touch to the arrangements and his gift for interpretation to the songs.

Ike has received wide acclaim for his 11 albums ranging from original melodic indie Rock/Pop to Latin/Easy Listening & Jazzy Swing. His repetoire extends to famous standards such as Blue Moon, C'est si bon, Fly me to the moon, I get a kick out of you, I've Got You Under My Skin, Time after time and he will be singing some of these timeless classics at Pascals of Napier on 20 August 2011.

What the crits say...
"The rich resonance of his voice makes Michael Bublè's seem rather thin by comparison... comparisons with the great Tony Bennett are inevitable, Ike Moriz performing swing is that good."
